Title: Oracle Global Product Security Email List
Post by Pete Finnigan on Nov 10th, 2005, 11:21pm
One of the guys at work gets these emails, and I've been trying to find out where to subscribe. I've looked on OTN, Metalink and the main Oracle site but can't find where to register.

Anyone know?

Thanks

At the heading of one of these mails was "You are receiving this email because our records indicated you downloaded Critical Patch Update .... " This suggests you're added automatically - so download a patch from metalink to be added. As it happens, whenever I get these I add them to dbsec.com - so if you can't get access to metalink you can get them from dbsec. Here's the most recent www.databasesecurity.com/oracle/ogps-passwords.htm - (broken link) .

Thanks David. I actually figured it out. In Metalink, if you go to "My Headlines" and then select
"Certify & Availability Settings"->Settings->"Product Alerts" you can then subscribe to "Oracle Security Service".

At least I think it is that one.

I also saw under  "My Headlines"->"Knowledge Base"->Settings, you can also subscribe to "Oracle Security Service", so I added both.

Once I did that I got the email.

You'd think it would be easier...
