Title: SQLNET ENCRYPTION or SSL encryption
Post by Pete Finnigan on Mar 28th, 2011, 2:41pm
Hi,

SSL is a protocol for the listener (TCPS), it provides encryption

sqlnet.ora also supports encryption via the SQLNET.ENCRYTION_* parameters.

I am wondering what could be the advantage or disadvantage of the one or the other.

Does it make sense to have both ???

Thanks for your lights
Laurent
