I don't know if you've read about Stuxnet. It's the most devious virus/worm created up until now. It managed to infect networks with no link to the Internet (via USB devices) and then specifically attack Siemens PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) software.

I've written a blog post about this, because I think what can happen to Siemens PLC software, can happen to (Oracle) databases:
