Title: Hedgehog - new free database monitoring tool
Post by Pete Finnigan on Jun 19th, 2007, 10:42am
Hi,

We just released Hedgehog, a database monitoring tool for Oracle. There are two versions, one of them completely free to download and use.

Both versions of the product use host-based sensors that are very light weight and monitor the SGA with minimal CPU usage, have a highly flexible and granular rule language, provide real-time alerts and come with a set of predefined rules that act as virtual patches against known Oracle vulnerabilities.

You can download the software at: www.sentrigo.com

We currently support Oracle 9.2 and up on Linux (SUSE/RHEL) and Solaris. Windows and AIX coming soon.

Update on my previous post - Hedgehog now supports Oracle 8.1.7 or newer (including 11g on some platforms), on Windows, Linux, HP-UX, Solaris, IBM AIX. It also supports MS SQL Server 2005.
