Lewis has an interesting post on Easy Connect

January 16th, 2006 by Pete

I came across easy connect some time back. This is a new alternative to using a tnsnames.ora file to connect to a database. This is a simplified syntax that allows you to specify the syntax as part of the connect string to SQL*Plus for instance. Lewis has covered the new syntax very well with some good examples in a post titled "Forget About TNS: Connect To Oracle Using Easy Connect"
